About Andrew Burton (guest lecturer)

Andrew trained as a journalist in London and has since had 8 years’ PR experience spanning talent management, influencer engagement, event management, press office, thought leadership, sponsorship and integrated communications. 

He has a passion for storytelling and specialises in the consumer technology field with experience including Nokia, Spotify, Microsoft, Gumtree, Optus and Skyscanner.  

He is adept at translating complex business messages into compelling media narratives that take audiences on a journey, building brand awareness, driving advocacy and increasing education.  

Key skills include, cross platform campaign development, copywriting, creative news gen, influencer engagement, issues hijacking, data mining, and events organisation and amplification.
